Family Ancestry

Does anyone know any good free sites for genology. I had to just cancel my ancestry.com because trials done?

I have been searching and searching and all these sites want me to pay. BUt I really don’t want to pay because what if I don’t find anything then its like throwing money out of the window. If you know any good free sites let me know. I have already used ancestry.com/ my free trial is over and I couldn’t afford to pay anymore, I did get a lot information but still have holes in my tree. Please help!

Well i guess you need to decide what your next step is as far as the info you have gathered from your free trial.
It is difficult to give you guidance without knowing how much and what specifically you have gathered.
You need to focus and decide if your next step should be Vital Records(which holds a wealth of good genealogy info–these are also known as birth death and Marriage Records) or census records, Military Records, You see, the first thing you should do is start with yourself and work backwards.
Write it out on paper it will help you see what the next step should be, and then maybe pay for sites like ancestry(i have a full subscription and have had for 7 years) would be worth it, there are some very good free sites that have been around since the birth of the internet, like
