ancestry visa uk spouse
UK ancestry Visa (spouse) question?
Im currently living and working in London on a Spouse UK Ancestry Visa. (i.e. I am accompanying my partner who holds a UK Ancestry Visa)
This weekend for the first time, I will be travelling to Europe (with work colleagues for a study trip) without my partner.
Does anyone know if this may cause problems coming back through immigration? (i.e with my spouse not being there?)
To clarify I hold an Australian passport, I dont need a visa to travel to any European.
My concern is whether I will be let back into the UK on my spouse working visa, without my spouse being there.
I suspect it may. I have a friend living here on an EU spousal visa and he can’t leave the country without his wife. My friend is a New Zealander but his wife has a Dutch passport allowing her UK residency. He made enquiries with the Home Office and was advised that he would not be able to reenter the UK with his spousal working visa if he was not travelling with his wife.
Not sure if this will help:
